We did exactly that and took a well deserved day off, spending the day at Ashcombe Adventure Centre, near Dawlish.
Ashcoombe is set in Devon’s countryside, with glorious views surrounding the centre. We were lucky to be blessed with a day of sunshine. Which we soon realised was a blessing when we finished our final activity of the day, wet and muddy.
Once we arrived, we were taken to our fist activity planned for the day, clay shooting. With us all being beginners at the sport, it really was a morning of excitement and laughter. A few of us proved to be rather good at the sport, who would have thought. Tony the instructor really made the morning a memorable one, his professional and friendly personality helped everyone feel at ease. After three rounds of fun, we went back to the main reception where we enjoyed a BBQ buffet. Allowing ourselves a good hour for food, before heading over to our second activity, the assault course.
We chose to complete the GLADIATOR assault course, which included a selection of poles, nets, tyres, walls and water obstacles, just making it through to the end was a great achievement!
With a photo to prove we completed the course, we all headed to the showers and finished our day off with a good coffee in reception before heading home.
Be sure not to forget your shower kit, towel and a complete change of clothes and footwear.
We all had such a fun, action packed day. The total cost of the day was more than reasonable, I would recommend this place to anyone thinking of going, whether its for a team bonding day, family day out or a hen do, you wont be disappointed. I can’t wait to go back to try another activity. Perhaps the paint balling and raft building.
