Historic homes and gardens to visit in South Devon

There are an abundance of historic homes and gardens to visit in Devon
It’s no secret that getting yourself out in the fresh air helps to destress. Well what better way than to visit a National Trust property.
A firm favourite of ours is Greenway, the late Dame Agatha Christies former home. Travelling in true holiday style, by ferry on the picturesque River Dart. The ferry runs both from Dartmouth and the village of Dittisham. Ring the bell from Dittishams pontoon and the ferry will arrive upon demand. If travelling from Dartmouth, stop for a coffee at our favourite coffee shop Wood Roast, as the ferry runs every hour.

While escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life, don’t forget to explore the many other National Trust properties within the area. The gardens boast colourful woodland and spectacular views, not forgetting the wonderful tea rooms available and seasonal events running throughout the year, you wont be disappointed.
