A charming period Cotswold stone cottage nestling in the heart of beautiful Cotswold countryside. This semi-detached, three-storey cottage is reached by a grass bank, which is part of the village green. The property has some lovely, original features including a large open fire within a feature stone fireplace, Cotswold dry stone walls, traditional latch doors and exposed beams. The cosy sitting room boasts the original flagstone floor and provides a dining area where meals can be enjoyed by the flicker of the fire. The country kitchen is small but well-equipped with an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a washer/dryer. Climb the stairs (a little steep so mind your step!) to the first floor where two of the three comfy bedrooms await, one with a super-king size bed, which can conveniently be separated into twin single beds if required, and an en-suite shower room; along with a twin bedroom and a small family bathroom. A king-size, wrought iron bed is provided further up on the top floor, sitting in the eaves with exposed beams.
Outside, enjoy the charming cottage garden where garden furniture and a barbecue await for warm summer evenings after a day exploring this beautiful area.
Longborough has delightful views over the Evenlode valley. There are plenty of walks across marvellous countryside, including the Monarch's Way and the Heart of England Way. This peaceful village, which sits within a conservation area, has a shop and a traditional pub. Longborough lies between the historic towns of Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold, both of which have quality shops, pubs and restaurants.
