Crown Cottage is tucked away in the small village of Knodishall and is a beautiful cottage, ideal for a romantic break to explore the area at your leisure. The cottage is semi-detached and dates from the 1850's with lots of character whilst being well-equipped for your stay. As with characterful old cottages, there are some low doorways and the stairs are steep and winding. The open-plan living space has an inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove and lots of space to relax in having been out and about exploring. When you return to the cottage you can choose to either be cosy and warm in front of the wood burning stove or enjoy the outdoors in the courtyard garden.
Upstairs, there is a large and airy bedroom with a king-size bed, plenty of storage and a shower room.
The courtyard garden is east facing, getting lots of sunlight to allow you to enjoy eating outdoors. Besides the garden furniture, there is also space to store bicycles if you want to explore the local area on two wheels.
The stairs, in keeping with the character of the cottage which was built in the 1850s are very steep and twist round to the landing on the first floor but there are hand rails. Guests with limited mobility may struggle with the stairs.
There is one step down from the sitting room into the kitchen and some of the doorways are low.
Sorry, no pets.
