The village of Evershot boasts a local village shop and post office, The Acorn pub, delicious bakery, plus a restaurant and a spa hotel. A short drive away you will discover the town of Dorchester (9 miles) which is host to a wealth shops, cafes and restaurants as well as an abundance of tourist attractions including the Dorset Country Museum, home to the Thomas Hardy archive and collection.
Just a short walk away you will find yourself in Melbury Park, a beautiful deer park with a stunning Grade I listed Manor house and charming gardens. The Jurassic Coast, recently declared a World Heritage Site and the South West Coastal path are within easy reach and provide some wonderful walking opportunities. Here you will also discover the beautiful West Bay, a lovely sandy beach with a host of things to do for all ages.
