The Black House is perfectly placed across the road from the sea. Everything here is designed to soothe you into calm and relaxation and with shops, beaches and excellent restaurants just outside your front door, there’s a constant stream of things to see and do.
I can’t recommend The Black House more. In a truly wonderful location and a stone throw away from the beach it is ideal for a getaway. Emilie is fantastic and the place inside is a beach lovers paradise with beautiful minimal decor. Just the most fantastic stay I’ve had in a long time!

The Jurassic Coast is famous for its geology, fossils and spectacular scenery. The variety of rocks that make up it’s stunning cliffs contains remains of sea creatures, plants and animals from up to 180 million years ago.
It was on a beach in Lyme Regis where Mary Anning found the first complete Ichthyosaur in England. Other incredible sea creatures are still being found till this day, could you be one of the lucky ones?

South West Coast Path
The South West Coast path is the longest National trail in the whole country, starting at Minehead in Somerset and finally ending in Poole Harbour on the Dorset coastline.
95 miles of the path is made up of the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is considered to be the only place in the world displaying unbroken evidence of 185 million years of evolution.
