Chalet Peace has re-opened after a total refurbishment and offers a modern and comfortable interior to complement the stunning valley views and tranquil surroundings. The chalet is light and airy, beautifully furnished with a “vintage” theme and has two bedrooms. Its situated close enough to Dartmouth to enjoy the hustle and bustle of this vibrant town but with the views and tranquillity of a country retreat. The owner Helen, has carefully created a peaceful and relaxing space with panoramic views that you will never tire of looking at.
Chalet Peace is conveniently located on the outskirts of Dartmouth and is only a five minute car journey into the town centre. A bus into town also runs straight past the Park entrance and has several services throughout the day. There is a Park & Ride less than a mile away.
There is a new fully integrated fitted kitchen featuring a washing machine/dryer and fridge/freezer. The bathroom has a large shower and storage spaces. There is a new laminate floor throughout. The chalet is fully insulated and a wall-mounted flame effect fire in the lounge provides a focus on chilly winter days and nights and ensures the chalet is cosy when it’s cold outside.
In front of the chalet is a shared lawned area, overlooking the valleys around Dartmouth. This space is perfect for summer barbecues or for an afternoon snooze in the shade of the trees. Children and dogs alike will enjoy this lovely, safe and spacious area to run around in.
There is a regular bus service from the Park entrance and the Park & Ride is about two minutes from the Park.
Dartmouth is famous for it’s award winning restaurants and bars so you’ll be sure to find something that suits everyone’s tastes. There are also tons of country pubs and seafood restaurants dotted all along the coastline that are well worth the little extra drive to find.
This lovely chalet is just a stones throw from of a number of stunning Blue Flag beaches as well as the famous Britannia Royal Naval College and historic Dartmouth Castle. If you feel like venturing further afield, the towns of Totnes, Kingsbridge and Salcombe are only a short drive away.
Sainsbury’s and Lidl’s are two minutes away from the Park and Co-op and Marks & Spencer can be found in Dartmouth town centre. Dartmouth also has a wonderful selection of shops, galleries and boutiques as well as a market on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Dartmouth Leisure Centre and the brand new Indoor Pool are just along from the Park and the Outdoor Pool is open from June to September. Totnes has a market on Fridays and Saturdays and features a wonderful array of vintage clothes and furniture and fabulous vegan and vegetarian food.
Coastal walks can be accessed from Little Dartmouth; a map can be found in the carpark and The Ham at Dittisham is located right next to the beach and has a play park for children.
The Flavel Church in Dartmouth is very friendly and opens as a coffee shop during the week and Coronation Park has a great play park as well as a café serving delicious food and ice-cream.
But… if you’d prefer to spend your day relaxing at the chalet, soaking up the views and peaceful atmosphere, you won’t be disappointed with the comfortable leather sofas, wall mounted flat screen TV, spacious and beautifully furnished interior and modern kitchen and bathroom. The double and twin bedrooms offer comfort and tranquility, with only the morning birdsong to wake you up.

Only well behaved, deflead dogs allowed and leads must be used in the Park at all times.

"We stayed three nights and I cannot recommend the place highly enough. It had everything we needed for a short stay, the car park was very close and the views were of the rolling Devonish countryside. We were literally less than 5 minutes drive from 2 Supermarkets and the Park & Ride for Dartmouth. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook as well as a small selection of helpful key essentials (tea, coffee, cooking oil, salt/ pepper, washing liquid, etc. As a family we like to explore and stay somewhere different. In this case we'd make an exception."
