Waves ~ Stoke Fleming, Dartmouth

A family-sized retreat in the heart of sunny Stoke Fleming, Dartmouth. Waves is a spacious duplex apartment, perfect for families but cosy enough for couples (special couple-only rates apply off-peak). Decorated in a simple New England coastal style.

Waves is a large duplex apartment that sleeps 5. You enter the building through a marble tiled communal hallway with entry-phone. On the first floor you enter the apartment through its private entrance into a hallway, with cloakroom. Walk through to the light, spacious open plan living/dining space, with large L-shaped sofabed, armchair, dining table and 5 dining chairs.

The modern fully fitted kitchen is extremely well equipped with large fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, blender, kettle and toaster. From here you can walk out onto the spacious private roof terrace with Bar-B-Q, table & chairs and deckchairs.

On the 2nd floor there are two bedrooms (1 with king-size bed, and 1 with bunkbeds & a single bed), and a family bathroom, all with sea views.

This welcoming family-friendly apartment has been designed and decorated to an extremely high standard in a Coastal theme, with sea-washed colours, blues, whites & greens. It offers very well appointed accommodation, including LCD TVs (sitting room & master bedroom), a DVD & video player, a Wii console, hairdryer in bedroom, and free wireless broadband. There are plenty of games, toys, DVD’s, videos, books and magazines for when you just want to stay home and relax.

There is an allocated parking space with the apartment in a private car-park adjacent to the building, a spacious 1st floor terrace and a small communal garden just beyond, with sea views.

Waves is located in the popular coastal village of Stoke Fleming, a traditional village overlooking stunning Start Bay. There is a popular village pub, The Green Dragon and a bistro style restaurant, Radius 7, which also does takeaway food. The village shop & post office has fresh organic bread daily, & locally supplied vegetables, meat & dairy, and there is a large village park with fantastic childrens play area. The Southwest Coast Path runs right through the centre of the village, and the popular blue flag Blackpool Sands beach is less than a mile down the hill. The historic port of Dartmouth is a short 2 mile drive away, or a beautiful 45 minute walk along the Southwest coast path. Dartmouth is a picturesque deepwater port at the mouth of the River Dart, and is world renowned for its sailing. The ancient, narrow streets house some excellent boutique shops, art galleries & delicatessens. The newly renovated cobbled market place features stalls and regular farmers markets supplying local produce all used by Dartmouth’s many gourmet restaurants, pubs & cafes. Dartmouth is a beautiful, popular town, with a huge number of events and festivals throughout the year.
