Waves is located in the popular coastal village of Stoke Fleming, a traditional village overlooking stunning Start Bay. There is a popular village pub, The Green Dragon and a bistro style restaurant, Radius 7, which also does takeaway food. The village shop & post office has fresh organic bread daily, & locally supplied vegetables, meat & dairy, and there is a large village park with fantastic childrens play area. The Southwest Coast Path runs right through the centre of the village, and the popular blue flag Blackpool Sands beach is less than a mile down the hill. The historic port of Dartmouth is a short 2 mile drive away, or a beautiful 45 minute walk along the Southwest coast path. Dartmouth is a picturesque deepwater port at the mouth of the River Dart, and is world renowned for its sailing. The ancient, narrow streets house some excellent boutique shops, art galleries & delicatessens. The newly renovated cobbled market place features stalls and regular farmers markets supplying local produce all used by Dartmouth’s many gourmet restaurants, pubs & cafes. Dartmouth is a beautiful, popular town, with a huge number of events and festivals throughout the year.
"We stayed three nights and I cannot recommend the place highly enough. It had everything we needed for a short stay, the car park was very close and the views were of the rolling Devonish countryside. We were literally less than 5 minutes drive from 2 Supermarkets and the Park & Ride for Dartmouth. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook as well as a small selection of helpful key essentials (tea, coffee, cooking oil, salt/ pepper, washing liquid, etc. As a family we like to explore and stay somewhere different. In this case we'd make an exception."
"Brilliant location, lovely out door space for kids to play, spotless chalet would definitely go again!"
"Thank you Gemma for hosting us in your lovely chalet - a short drive into Dartmouth and a fantastic view of the River Dart estuary. Beds all very comfy and a pleasant surprise that it can sleep 6! Great value! Many thanks!"
"Very clean, neat and tidy! Great location and value for money."
