Berry Head National Park – free to visit and open all year.

Berry Head National Nature Reserve guards the southern half of Tor Bay. One of the gateways to the English Riviera Global Geopark, it is an internationally-acclaimed heritage site, home to a fascinating variety of wildlife and history, with recently-restored Napoleonic War fortifications. Enjoy the stunning views and superb local food at the Guardhouse Cafe, visit the Visitor Centre, enjoy one of the many events, and walk the ramparts as the soldiers did 200 years ago.

Dart Rock Climbing Centre

Dartmouth Outdoor Swimming Pool

This lovely outdoor swimming pool is open to the public from the 1st July until the beginning of September. Our swimming pool is a 25 metre by 8.5 metre outdoor pool and is heated to a heavenly 28 degrees Celsius. During the summer season it is staffed by fully qualified lifeguards who are there to ensure that your experience of the pool is safe and enjoyable at all times. We offer separate male and female changing facilities, with lovely warm showers. We also have a small shop selling a range of hot and cold drinks, snacks and small range of swimming accessories. These include: swimming nappies for babies, goggles and armbands. We can also provide diving rings, floats and woggles for customers to borrow during their swim.

Decoy Country Park

A Green Flag award winning country park and local nature reserve on the edge of Newton Abbot. Decoy Country Park provides an opportunity to enjoy formal playing fields and a large children’s play area with a water play feature. Other popular amenities include a lake supporting water sports activities and a deciduous woodland with a trim trail incorporated into it.Decoy was once a clay quarry but now supports a wealth of wildlife, with the main habitats being ponds, streams, fen, wet woodland and heath woodland. The Park provides opportunities for quiet countryside recreation such as walking, wildlife watching, duck feeding and picnics, with good wheelchair and pushchair access.

Paignton Zoo

With over 2,500 animals across 80 acres – you’re in for a really wild time at Paignton Zoo.Located in Devon, Paignton Zoo is one of the South West’s most exciting visitor attractions. Splashdown Quaywest Waterpark

Situated on the gorgeous seafront at Goodrington Sands, we boast some of the English Riviera’s most spectacular views! Splashdown Quaywest is the UK’s BIGGEST outdoor waterpark, and we couldn’t think of anywhere better for it! Cockington Court

Cockington Court is one of Torbay’s favourite destinations, combining history with present day through a thriving craft centre and a popular programme of events. The site enjoys a growing reputation as a regional centre for quality arts and crafts. Set in an award-winning country park a mile away from the seafront, Cockington Court is an historic manor house with over twenty craft studios, tea rooms, walled art garden, tudor rose garden, contemporary art gallery and a popular children’s play area.

Totnes Rare Breeds Farm

Totnes Rare Breeds Farm is a family owned attraction, which relies on the work of volunteers and the great support of its customers. It aims to preserve endangered species of farm animals and the diversity of British wildlife. It is also a fantastic day out! Totnes Rare Breeds may be small, but it is the perfect size to provide a friendly and personal service for all ages. Tucked away behind Totnes in the rolling Devon countryside, once you find the Rare Breeds Farm you won’t want to leave.

Blackpool Sands

Set in an unspoilt, sheltered bay amongst evergreens and pines is Blue Flag awarded Blackpool Sands, a shingle beach located only 3 miles west of Dartmouth on the beautiful South Devon heritage coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). With sand pits, a bathing raft, kayaks and paddle boards for hire, a range of delicious hot and cold food and a beach shop, it has something for all the family.
